Tonight we attended a neighborhood block party. The best part about it was that it wasn't even our block. It was two blocks down the hill. I love our neighborhood. It's beautiful trees and parks, central location, historic homes, and friendly families. I love that Marigold & Marley will grow up with memories of summer nights like tonight. Eating potluck. Playing in the street barefoot with children of all ages. Watching a magician in a neighbor's driveway. And catching fireflies until way past their bedtime.
