This was a week. Our hectic schedule is taking its toll. We were out of our comfort zone. We were tired. Everything seemed hard. It feels in some moments like we are failing. And the fall is a sad time of year for me.
But we had good moments. Remembering the days leading up to Marley's birth two years ago. My first screening mammogram (which didn't hurt and looked good). A family bike ride/run (Marigold on the bike, Jay and me running, Marley in the Burley jogger). Gorgeous 80 degree weather paired with October colors.
So we're going back to basics. More evenings at home. More going for walks. More playing in the basement. We're quitting gymnastics for now. Taking the kids to the park more than Target. Taking a little breather.
