Marley had a great first day of school today. The morning drop-off went well. Marley cried only for a few seconds. I stood outside in the hallway and sighed with a mom friend. When I peeked back in on her before I left, Marley was toddling around the room. At about 2:00, we got an email from her teacher saying that Marley painted and planted flower seeds, ate a good lunch, and fell asleep on her nap mat. She even survived the barrage of love and attention from Marigold and her friends on the playground. In case it wasn't evident from Marigold's face in the photo and the matching rainbow dresses and orange jackets, Marley's first day of school was pretty great for Marigold too.
