Decisions, decisions

This week has been about a couple of big decisions. I decided to decline a (side) professional opportunity because it just couldn't fit into our life and my busy schedule right now. But it is something I've always wanted to do, on my life's "to do list," so it was hard (even harder than it usually is for me) to say no.

Then, yesterday, we had the big kindergarten visit day. Lots of planning was done to have my mom here in Omaha to watch Marley and to schedule visits at three different schools. We observed in seven classrooms altogether and asked all the questions we could think to ask. At the end of the day, Jay and I had the opposite impressions from our "straw poll" done before the tours and we were not in agreement. And the schools were very different. One small and cozy. One big and happy. One formal and impressive. It's so hard to know what is right for Marigold. Who she is and who she'll become. By the end of the day, we were tired. So we are thinking, talking (more), praying, and letting it marinate. One decision this week was enough for me.
