No, our house is not a crime scene. Today, we began the two week process of having new windows installed in our house. This is something we've wanted and needed to do since we moved in three and a half years ago. It will feel so nice to be able to actually open our windows and not be freezing cold in our house in the winter. But, boy, this is a project. And there are a lot of precautions (recent federal regulations) that must be taken to avoid lead exposure, which totally freak me out. I think it is really that the recent regulations have increased the precautions and the extra precautions are freaking me out. But nevertheless I don't plan to have the kids here much for the next two weeks. We'll be entertaining ourselves elsewhere until all dust particles are cleaned and cleaned again. And then we will return and enjoy our lovely new and energy efficient windows.
