I spent the past weekend with my best friend of 23 years in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was a great trip - we talked practically nonstop about all things important in our lives for 48 hours and then I flew back home. We also made time for a pedicure and some shopping, of course. It was a great trip, but I missed my babies and was glad to be back home and am ready now for some warmer weather, Valentine's Day, and a busy February ahead. Busy with birthdays, busy at work, and busy with upcoming decisions and transitions. But all good things. So glad to have had this weekend to drink coffee and relax by the fire with the one friend who knows me best. It was good for my soul.
