Spring Break

We had a wonderful Spring Break trip to Chicago and Easter/Anniversary weekend.  In Chicago, we lunched at the American Girl store, swam at the hotel, met Sue the T-Rex at the Field Museum, saw the jellies and Baby Beluga at Shedd Aquarium, and drove by (near) the Obamas' South Side home and the University of Chicago.  In some ways, it was tiring trip and a long drive and we learned a lot about traveling with a 2 and 6 year old but, looking back, it was a good trip.  During the trip, Marigold has a low-grade fever and wasn't quite herself.  After returning from four days of the low-grade fever and when Marley came down with one too, we took them both to the doctor and found out they had strep!  We've spent the rest of the week laying low.  But today, in the clear with the antibiotic in the system, we'll go to an Easter Egg hunt and, later tonight, a babysitter will come so Mom & Dad can celebrate our 12th anniversary with a date night!  Tomorrow, to church and a visit from the Easter Bunny!
